In August 1998 Hermann Nitsch staged the complete 6 Day O.M. Theater that he's been working on for 40 years. The recordings edited for this series will take the form of 12" editions. Separately, a deluxe (signed/numbered) artist edition of 30 units of the complete 6 Day recordings in custom case will include approximately 70 compact discs. The edition includes the complete score (printed in 3 volumes), a set of prints, a relic from the 6 Day play, signed by Hermann Nitsch.
The first studio recordings of Derek Bailey, Gavin Bryars, and Tony Oxley. This group, which existed from 1963 to 1966, initially played conventional jazz and by 1965 was playing totally improvised pieces. Joseph Holbrooke (trio) was among the first to develop Free Improvisation in England in the mid-sixties.
